Pastor Dave Helfrich has served LCR for the past 2 1/2 years. Prior to coming to Georgia, Pastor Dave served congregations in Virginia and Maryland.
He graduated from Gettysburg Seminar and has served as pastor for 28 years. He is committed to deepening people's relationships with Jesus Christ and believes the church's mission is to build the Kingdom of God by doing exactly that.
Pastor Dave has been married to his wife Sharon for 31 years, and they have one daughter, Christen, who will be married at LCR in November.
An avid Green Bay Packers fan and car buff, Pastor Dave enjoys sports, traveling, and people. One of his guiding principles in life is "the only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth."

Crystal is a lifelong Lutheran and has been active in youth ministry at a congregational and synodical level since high school. Crystal graduated from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN in 2003 with a BA in Theology.
After graduating from law school at the University of Akron in Akron, OH in 2006, and practicing law for a year and a half, Crystal, having felt God’s call to ministry since she was 16, finally said yes.
Crystal joined the staff of LCR in September 2008 and continues to be involved in synodical ministry. She feels incredibly blessed to be living out her calling by serving the children and youth at LCR and throughout the synod.

Helen Weiss Phelps, a life-long Lutheran from Colorado, has served as LCR’s Director of Worship & Music Ministries since 2000. She has a degree in Organ Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.
In addition to experience in directing church music, she also has a background in Preschool Music, Parish Administration, and Banking. Helen and husband David, an advertising agency art director, live in Woodstock, GA.

Kerry is a rare bird (in more ways than one!) She has been a Lutheran in Atlanta nearly all her life. A member of LCR for fifteen years, Kerry joined the staff in 2005 after a career in marketing. Today she is LCR’s Director of Ministry Support overseeing the administration of ministry teams. Her work includes cross-team leadership, volunteer management and policy/structure development. Kerry graduated with a degree in Management from Georgia Tech and feels fortunate to live with her family in the shadow of the Chattahoochee River Park. There they enjoy running and going on “sniff walks” with their beagle Ella.

Bilal comes to us from Eritrea on the horn of Africa, by way of Malta where he lived for several years before coming to America one year ago. Bilal will be working 9:00am-1:00pm Monday through Friday ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our buildings and grounds. Bilal brings a broad range of handyperson skills, particularly electrical, along with a great attitude!
