International Programs

Campus Outreach Ministry: Johannesburg

Outreach Coordinator:  Jerry Pantelakis

Campus Outreach Ministry (COM) is dedicated to developing personal relationships with college students by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and helping them to develop as Christians. In addition to COM initiatives, Kris Viljoen, daughter of Resurrection member Pam Osterland, also works with Johannesburg “street kids” and is planning a camp program for underprivileged children. Sam’s House: Pokhara, Nepal

Outreach Coordinator: Mark Brosch

The trustees at Sam's House embrace the future by providing a home, family, education and love to abandoned and orphaned children in Nepal. The organization believes that love, security and education are essential rights as well as key components of any child's ability to thrive in and contribute to the world. Resurrection member Irwin Rothschild’s daughter is a missionary with Sam’s House.

Rwanda Outreach

Outreach Coordinator: Sue Adams and John Mellott

Despite the relative political and social stability enjoyed by its natives since the end of the Genocide, a large number of Rwandans live in poverty as subsistence farmers. The country has a 50% mortality rate before the age of five. Dr Karl Weyrauch, son of Resurrection members Elsie & Jerry Weyrauch, is a missionary in the region.

Support Opportunities:

  • Blue Shoes Ministry: Rwanda Blue Shoes is dedicated to providing plastic blue shoes to the Rwanda villagers in an effort to improve health and safety conditions in their communities. The sale of Rwanda coffee raises funds to support this initiative.

  • Mission Trips: LCR members support two mission trips to provide support for the village Bwiza. Additional mission trips are planned for 2011.
