What We Believe

We believe that …

God has created and continues to create everything that exists and has a deep and unending love for that creation.

God entered human existence through His son Jesus Christ, who died on a cross and rose from a tomb so that we might know we are loved and forgiven through grace alone and not through any actions of our own.

God desires each of us to have a deepening relationship with Him and is present with us through the Holy Spirit.

God calls us to practice compassion, forgiveness and hospitality in our relationships with others and invites us to share and live our faith in Jesus Christ with whomever we meet.

God has given us the church as the primary way in which His kingdom is being built on earth and reveals his love for us through the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
