LCR Members Return to Rwanda – February 1 - 12, 2010
John Mellott and Ralph Schwartzbeck are returning to Rwanda to continue our mission to help those in need. They hope to continue to work on current as well as new projects including:
- Continue to explore the drilling of a well at the school near the village of Bwiza that Dr. Karl Weyrauch has been assisting.
- Teach the Bwiza villagers how to build and (possibly) sell clay ovens. The ovens should improve their fuel consumption.
- Teach the villagers how to make fuel bricks from dried banana leaves as an alternative fuel source.
- Set-up a brick-making program at the school near Bwiza.
- Continue the deworming program for the Bwiza children.
- Work to secure a bicycle with a special trailer to serve as an ambulance for the village.
Prayers are requested for their safe travel and ability to make a difference in the lives of the Rwanda people.
