Service/Outreach Ministries and Programs at LCR

We, the members of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, believe that God has called us to serve others as Jesus taught us. We are to follow Christ's lead and work toward making life for everyone better - by filling them with love, food and spiritual life.

We are called to the special needs of others, remembering Jesus' words, "whatsoever ye have done unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me."

We therefore will strive to fulfill the following goals:

• To help our community, getting involved, keeping abreast of needs
• To pinpoint the needs of others, to meet the needs of the poor
• To recognize those in need
• To be aware of where we can be most effective
• To speak for those who cannot speak for themselves
• To love one another
• To network with others who have similar interests
• To be aware of our "own" needs
• To network within our congregation
• To communicate our motivation for "doing"
